16th ANNUAL PLANT SALE
Saturday, April 28th, 2007, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
YMCA (formerly Kahilu Town Hall)
This year’s plant sale promises
to be the best ever: Our venue is the nearby YMCA building; there will be
a huge tent to ensure accommodation for all twenty-four vendors with
space to freely move about and there will be adequate parking adjacent to
the tent. Vendors will provide buyers with a wide variety of plants,
trees and shrubs. New vendors from our area will have available stock
that we have not had before such as camellias and vireya rhododendrons.
Special lighting will be provided to show off all the wonderful plants.
According to the vendors, April is a great time to view flowering bedding
plants, shrubs and trees.
Again this year WOC will host a
garden fair for vendors of “garden crafts” – pots, vases, trellises,
floral products, botanical art and cement and tile garden stepping stones
and statuary, etc. If interested, please call Victor Obrastoff, 887-0500,
for an application.
Thinking about renewing your
membership in WOC? New memberships and renewals will be 20% off during
the plant sale on April 28th. Take advantage of this great deal,
especially if your membership expires May 31, 2007.
