PARK BAZAAR

Our Fall fundraiser for the Nature Park will be held Sept. 30th from 8 A.M. until noon at the Community Center at Waimea Park this year.

Set up will be Friday evening from 6-8 pm. Donations are still being accepted, NO CLOTHES.

Available will be the normal garage sale items, white elephants, a tent, file cabinet, jewelry, an oriental rug, an antique steamer trunk, wheel chair, walker, and several nice pieces of furniture. Several better items will be on a silent auction closing at 11:30.  New this year will be four plant vendors selling natives, orchids, ornamentals and herbs. Homegrown plants donated and grown by our members will also be available. Also we have potted up a limited quantity of the rare and endangered ma'o hau hele from the Nature Park.

Home made cookies, breads and jams will be for sale, as will the Nature Park t-shirt and tote bag and the Marcia Ray "Pansy" t-shirt.

More volunteers and donations can be accommodated; call Carol Hendricks 885-4453 or Victor Obrastoff 887-0500. Let's make this fundraiser a BIG SUCCESS!

The next volunteer day in the Park will be October 7, with a demonstration tree pruning of the magnificent Blue Gum Eucalyptus, by Mike Krauss and his Tree Works crew, at the end of the Riparian planting. A fee of $20 for the class will be waived for those that stay and volunteer until noon.
